Playwright? Spy? Or just a simple barnyard creature with a dream?

Who was Wooliam Sheepspeare—this world traveler, polymath, and accomplished raconteur?
His quill was sharp, his wit was refined, and his fleece? Always in fashion.

Explore the work he inspired with designs for actors, designers, teachers, and thinkers.

  • Backstage Legends

One of four new designs celebrating the backstage crews that make the magic happen. These designs celebrate the unsung heroes who keep the show running (and occasionally mutiny when someone forgets their mic).

  • Holidays & Seasonal

We all know the holidays can be "dramatic" events, (looking at you, Uncle Kevin!) These designs find the connections between those "real world" celebrations, and the theatrical places where magic and wonder are regular occurrences.

  • Scientific Theatre

Transforming the drama, exhaustion, and triumph of live performance into elegant “academic” equations. Whether it’s quantifying caffeine consumption during tech week, defining the molecular structure of acting, these shirts proudly blend absurd precision with backstage truth.

  • Wooliam Sheepspeare

Our most popular design ever! We put on our Wooliam hats - (wool, of course) and set ourselves to thinking - "What if the characters from that other writer's works had to get jobs and survive in the real world?" and this is part of what we came up with.

Meet the Creator

Behind every great sheep is a slightly overworked human.

I’m the creator of Wooliam Sheepspeare — a lifelong theater educator, designer, and pun enthusiast who decided the world needed more laughter (and better t-shirts).

After three decades teaching acting, directing, and theater history, I started turning my favorite classroom jokes and cultural references into wearable art. What began as a side project to amuse my family and students quickly grew into a full collection celebrating everything from Shakespeare to philosophy to the universal chaos of teaching teenagers.

Every design is created with a mix of love, caffeine, and the lingering smell of stage makeup. My goal? To make things that make you laugh and feel seen — whether you’re in the wings, in the classroom, or just in need of a clever shirt that says, “Yes, I am that kind of nerd.”

When I’m not designing, I’m usually sketching ideas for the next Wooliam adventure, drinking too much coffee, or trying to explain to my family why “The Merchant of Venison” is actually a solid business idea.

Thanks for joining the troupe — the standing ovation’s all yours.
